Paul,
Not sure if this is what you are asking, but it does provide the GPT
allocation blocks, index and contents title.
gpt - The gpt command is a utility that is used for GUID partition
table maintenance. By typing:
sudo gpt -r show disk0
The examiner will open the device in a read-only mode and be provided
information concerning the device ( in this case disk 0) such as
starting blocks, size, index and contents.
