I know that OS X has been recording the date added (when a file was added to its directory) since Stacks was introduced but it hasn't been accessible to us devs, as far as I could tell. In Lion, date added is more prominent as it is seen in Finder and even indexed by Spotlight. Where is this attribute stored? I can't seem to find it in the normal places. Is there a way to get at this field without using Spotlight?
