Spotlight reindexing taking days or weeks

  • Subject: Spotlight reindexing taking days or weeks

Since 10.7.5, reindexing a disk of 175GB of user data is taking 6+ days instead of maybe 2-3 hours with 10.7.4. There are only two related items in console neither of which are particularly illuminating:

Sep 29 12:48:15 mingisapsycho mdworker32[3596]: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.
Sep 29 13:00:31 mingisapsycho mdworker[3608]: Unable to talk to lsboxd

Suggestions?

Chris Murphy
