Are these volumes containing a local fs because in this case DA should mount them automatically after it probes the disk on which they reside or they can be also network filesystems?
Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question but I'm not familiar with the features of ZFS.
I also wanted to warn you that if you are going to pool already mounted volumes which are being indexed by mds you'll have to think about a strategy for the .Spotlight-V100 directory, where mds stores its data. Probably mds will break if it tries to access it from the pooled volume and the underlying volumes simultaneously. Probably there will be similar problems with .fseventsd and .DocumentRevisions-V100 directories.
