Hey,

We had the same problem here: All our packages built using our 10.4 scripts (by specifying source, root and resource directories for PackageMaker) install to the location of the installer root, not the target location. This is despite the fact that our target location is correctly set, none of the packages are relocatable, and "lsbom Archive.bom" shows correct paths.

Since we couldn't find any way to correct the problem, we ended up creating actual PackageMaker pmdoc projects and building those on the command line instead. However, this is not as bad as it sounds, because the PackageMaker team have sorted out the issues that prevented us from doing this in 10.4 in the first place (e.g. automatically setting file ownership/permissions as part of an automatic build).

Peace,
Tobias

The script is using same syntax as 10.4.  The man page seems to imply that this should be fine, but.....
Thanks for the suggestion.

Is your build script using the old 10.4 "compatibility mode" syntax or the new 10.5 syntax? I haven't seen this issue in particular before, but I did have tons of bizarre problems until I stopped relying on compatibility mode to do the right thing.
