Seems to be the case.
I put a "sleep 30" at the end of the postflight.
When the installer gets to this point I check the mod time and it is what I want it to be.
Then as soon as the sleep is over and installer shows "successfully installed", I check the mod time again and it has been changed to the current time.

The only clue in the installer log I see is:
	Registering applications
	Registered /path/to/my.app.

I wonder if that could have to do with it. Or if not, what else the installer does after the postflight...

I sincerely doubt that.

My preliminary conclusion after today is that the mod time gets changed AFTER the postflight gets run.
In which case I may just be stuck :(
