Apparently, the new flat package format supports new file formats for background picture: PNG for instance.

Is there a list of file formats supported by Installer.app for flat packages in Leopard?

I tried to find some lines of documentation on this in the DevTools doc with no success (BTW, there's an incoherence in the documentation as some documents still refers to the version of PackageMaker for Tiger).

N.B: for non flat package format, the workaround is to set the extension to .tif for instance.
