I agree these items currently have a lot of problems but the location
for bug reporting is at: <https://bugreport.apple.com>.
Packagemaker does not preserve the resource forks any more, if it
ever did.
Thanks for mentioning that. I think I did a package with 3.0 which
installed a plugin with a custom icon. At the time there was a warning
about some problems for 3.1 so I decided to use the older version.
