A few weeks ago someone mentioned to me (through this list) that one
way to make an uninstaller was with PackageMaker. What was suggested
was to create a pmdoc with no payload, and to then attach a
postinstall script that does the actual removal of the software.
I have tried this to no avail. It seems that I cannot add a
postinstall script without a payload. I am stuck. I am using
PackageMaker 3.0.1 and have read through the User's Guide several
times while building my packages.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?
Use Iceberg. This is easy with Iceberg, and you get to avoid all the
nastiness that has been PackageMaker in recent versions. On the other
hand, you don't get to use the new flat-file format.
