10.5 lauchctl unload causing process crash

I have an installer that works fine on 10.3 and 10.4. But now with 10.5 out when I run the installer I am getting a crash at the launchctl unload call. It is reporting “Stray process with PGID equal to this dead job: PID 324 PPID 1 installer” “Exited abnormally: Abort Trap” and so on talking about the NSInvalidReceivedPortException.

Basically what the installer does is stop the daemon if it is running and launches the new/updated one. But I am puzzled why there is not this problem in 10.3 and 10.4.

Any one have any suggestions?

Thanks

Carl
