I am building an installation package on Leopard using PackageMaker
3.0.1.
Currently I have one package in my Distribution, however, I would
like to run an installer plugin before proceeding as normal.
I have created an Installer Plugin project in X Code 3.0, the
output of which is called MyPlugin.bundle, as well as the file
InstallerSections.plist.
I can't find any way to add my plugin into the .pkg file output
from PackageMaker. I tried placing it in various locations in "Raw
Editing Mode."
How can I add my plugin to my distribution?
If you're targetting OS X 10.5, you can't. The format does not
support it.
If you target OS X 10.4, you will be able to add it manually (or with
a script) after building your package/metapackage.
If I cannot do it, how can I revert to PackageMaker 2.0 and just
create the old, folder-based installation packages? (the plugin is
working fine with a sample folder-style pkg).
