Pick your poison; I used the defaults system :-) One thing to keep in mind is that if the script you're referring to is the pre/postinstall and the package authenticates, you have root scripts trusting input from the user. Be wary of, for instance, passing file paths that could be symlinks to data the user doesn't own.

Is there a documented way for me to pass information from an Installer plugin to a shell script used later in the same package? Right now I'm looking at writing a text file to an obscure directory and reading that in the shell script to decide what to do.
