I think this is working as intended; in most cases I'd imagine that the user won't switch languages after logging on, correct? I am pretty sure that if you restart the Finder the auth dialog will show up in the correct language. It's an artifact of the Finder being run before you switched languages, similar to any program that was started before the prefs were changed.

Hey all,
I'm hoping someone knows that this is for sure an apple-bug, or knows of
a work around. (side question: is there a way to search bugs that have
already been filed?)
So my install is running say in French. My system is in English, but I
have used the International settings to bump the current language to
French. (so finder menus are still English, but the installer is running
in French).
The install is all localized and shows everything in the current
language-- except the authorization dialog box that pops up, stating
that the "Installer requires that you type your password". This is in
English. How can I get it to be French like the rest of the Install??
For all my installer postflight scripts I've been extra careful to grab
the current user's language so the install experience is consistent and
doesn't default to English that root runs in. I'm not sure how to fix
this one though. Ideas? Has anyone seen this before? I've tried to
attach a picture of the dialog box I am talking about--hopefully it will
make it through.
Thanks,
Lisa
