Then expect enterprise customers to hate your installer and possibly
your product. Any installer that can't be silently installed via

installer -pkg /apth/to/package.pkg -target /
is a pain in the *** to mass deploy.
Correct behavior for both GUI and command line is to display an
error and abort the install, not to force quit the installer.
Yeah that is what I want to do. Tell them what is wrong and basically
abort the install.
