Use LANrev InstalEase
installa a labmac with 10.4.11 and xcode 2.x
enable root account
loginto root account
create a snapshot with LANrev InstalEase
install CS3/3.3
patch it upto date (can take hours)
reboot
login as root
create a diff snapshot with InstalEase
remove unnessesary files from the snapshot, change status from "new" to "change" on items you don't want to overwrite in /Library/Applications\ Support/*
create the pkg - takes a cupple of hours on a 933Mhz G4.
deploy the pkg on your mac's. When booted from a Deploystudio Netboot image a G4/933Mhz/100Mbit ethernet uses 7.4 minuttes to install CS3.3 Design Standard.
All my attempts on creating a pkg from CS3 on 10.5/xcode3 have failed because the packagemaker tool in xcode 3 is uable to copy the FlexNet files correctly.

I haven't had much lock with loggen and iceberg. I haven't tried pkggen, which can parse the output of loggen and gather all the parts (I assume to bring into Iceberg manually or automagically?).
CS2 was a beast. Last year I spent a weekend packaging it and we pushed to 40+ Macs in one of our US office. I've had miserable luck with CS3 and wanted to ask you all how you're dealing with this. We're not looking for a big solution like Filewave, Radmind, LanDEV/LanDESK, etc....we're just looking for info on how to package up CS3 Standard using the standard pkg format.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Don
