Hi,
I need to produce a completely localized (6 languages) installer for a commercial product, and I'm using PackageMaker 3.0.3. The installer contains both Easy and Custom install choices.
I cannot determine how to localize the tooltip and description text for the Custom choices. There is no UI in PackageMaker 3.0.3 for localizing anything outside the "Edit Interface..." view. Strangely, it does appear that older versions of PackageMaker could do this! I did find this older posting on this topic in this forum: http://lists.apple.com/archives/Installer-dev/2008/Jul/msg00135.html
However despite adding Localizable.strings files per the directions in the post, I only get the key value displayed when I run the installer, in any language including English. Perhaps I've made an error, but I've re-checked several times. Anyone else ever make this work?
I also submitted a Radar against PM since this is a big omission in the product feature set.
