Namaste!

My warnings number over 10k.

I don’t have a staging structure – just a link to all the “stuff,” and packagemaker pulls it all together.

Very annoying…

I did test-run the installer on the only box I have, which is my development machine.  Things appear to install OK, but ‘tis hard to tell if it will install in a virgin environment.

So, here’s crossing my fingers…

Peace, Love, and Light,

Jon C. Munson II

I have run into the exact same problem. I was getting a couple warnings so I ran disk utility and now I get hundreds!

I have chosen to ignore the messages and just ensure that the permissions on my staging folder is correct when I build the installers. I'm still working on the installers so I don't know if this is the correct approach or not. Things seem to work ok so far!

- this is kind of a "me too" post, but I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain

Namaste!

I'm having a royal pain with a package and setting the relevant permissions,
group, etc.

For some reason unbeknownst to me, some permissions errors (around 3)
started to show up when I built my package.  On the warning, it stated to
run the disk utility to fix the permissions error(s).

So, I did.

Now, I get thousands of warnings of the same - permissions aren't right, the
owner isn't right, and the permissions aren't right.

How do I overcome this issue???  Re-setting this stuff, line-by-line, by
hand, will take, well, longer than I care to put in!!!

Thanks!
