-The IcebergControlTower process is not running (it is not in the list displayed by "ps -ef | grep Iceberg"

-There is no crash logged for IcebergControlTower. The only references I found to Iceberg in any of the logs were these, found in the system log:
Oct 4 13:25:56 john-proctors-macbook fseventsd[34]: could not open <</ Volumes/Iceberg 1.2.7/.fseventsd/fseventsd-uuid>> (No such file or directory)
Oct 4 13:25:56 john-proctors-macbook fseventsd[34]: log dir: /Volumes/ Iceberg 1.2.7/.fseventsd getting new uuid: 48315CE3-1864-402F-8CCE- F4D71A0591D8
Oct 5 20:49:42 john-proctors-macbook Iceberg[242]: *** WARNING: Method selectedRowEnumerator in class PBOutlineView is deprecated. It will be removed in a future release and should no longer be used.

-I tried starting the IcebergControlTower process myself by typing "./ IcebergControlTowerTool &" in the terminal and that seemed to work but now my project that previously built without any problem fails to build with the following error: "Creating Info.plist file: Missing information (CFBundleIdentifier)".

Thanks,

John.

Next step is to check:

- if the IcebergControlTower process is running

- if there is a crash of the IcebergControlTower process logged in Console.app.

Thanks for the quick response. All of those things appear to be the case. There is slight difference in file datestamps (see below). The problem still seems to be persisting.

Hi All,

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to ask Iceberg-related questions. The problem I am having is that when I try to start a build in Iceberg it displays a message box containing the text:

"No Signal from Iceberg Control Tower

The Iceberg Control Tower is not responding. Iceberg can't build any project when this Daemon is not running."

Has anyone else ever seen this message before? If so, what did you do to fix it?

This is the first time I have used my Iceberg installation since I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I was using version 1.2.4 but I tried updating to the latest version (1.2.7) and rebooting after I saw this message and it did not make any difference.

Hi,

check the following points:

[ ] /Library/StartUpItems exists and its permissions are root:wheel 755

[ ] /Library/StartUpItems/IcebergControlTower exists and its permissions are root:wheel 755

[ ] The contents of /Library/StartUpItems/IcebergControlTower looks like this (components and permissions):
