I know how to do that - but I didn't know you could do it for things
that weren't part of your package.
This point is critical: At the time I make this installer I won't know
what the custom install items are. I'm discovering these on the CD at
the time the installer runs.

What is this Custom Install mode and where can I learn more about it?
WWhen you installed Xcode, you reached the "Installation Type" step
in the installation process where you were able to select which
optional packages you wanted to install. Some of them were selected
by default, others were not.
Is it documented anywhere, or where can I find it in the UI?
- Apple documentation (on the ADC web site and eventually from the
Help Menu of PackageMaker)
- MacTech had a series of articles on package creations
- Mac OS X Deployment v10.5 by Kevin White (PeachPit Press)
