I can only think of a couple other things
then, which are probably long shots.
1. I noted the command line installer
on Leopard and Snow Leopard output slightly different information when
-dumplog and -verbose is on. Maybe if one doesn't tell you, the other
will?
2. There's a setting where you
can overwrite the existing folder or not. So something like if your
base directory already exists, you would overwrite it. This is bad
if your base directory is /Library/StartupItems or something similar where
you don't want to overwrite the base directory. Maybe you're off
by one on your base directory setting or don't have that "overwrite"
setting correct.
3. Does your package have multiple
"choices" ? I don't think it does because you have said
that it's just a regular package. I wondered if maybe you had 1 choice
that overwrote the other somehow?
