Hi Sumit,
I'd suggest to build a package using PackageMaker CLI
interface from a script
where after "build
package" command you could chmod any executables in
Resources folder to make sure they
will never fail at least for incorrect permissions
reason.
This works successfully unless you need to build flat package
type.
Best,
- Alexander

Subject: exec permission removed while
building mpkg
I am using packagemaker to build a .mpkg. And I want
to add an executable to Resources directory of mpkg. This executable is used
to detect if a choice is to be installed or not, _javascript_ from
distribution.dist calls it. I am adding this executable by drag drop in
"Raw Edit Mode" to Resources directory. Issue is when I
build the pmdoc, the executable does not have the exec permission (permission
are rw-r--r--), thus my choice logic fails. Any
suggestions? I am building with: PackageMaker 3.0.4 OS X
10.6.2 Thanks, Sumit
