/usr/bin/hdiutil create -srcfolder foo.pkg foo.dmg
Works even if foo.pkg is a flat package.
But why? One of the advantages of flat packages is they can be
transported as-is - there's no need to wrap them in a disk image.

Hi,
I used to use DMGConverter to drag and drop a .mpkg installer and it
would make a DMG for me. Now that that new packages are not folders,
drag and drop onto DMGConverter, or make a DMG from a folder in Disk
Utility don't work.
Might I ask how you make your DMGs from flat installers?
