One way installl dependencies

  • Subject: One way installl dependencies

Hi,

I'm putting together a distribution package using Packagemaker.

It includes two items, A and B, both of which are optional.

However B requires A, so if you select B then A needs to be selected too.

So the install options for these two items are..

none
A only
A and B

I've tried to implement this using the requirements section, but that
only seems to work when the custom page first comes up. I also tried
making B a subitem of A, but deselecting it also deselects A, which is
no good.

Is there some way to implement this dependency? I could get away with
it being done in the background and A being installed without the
customer knowing it, but it would be best if it was clear what was
happening from the custom install page.

regards

Jon
