Installer Behaviour for Exisitng app when new version is pushed

Hi,

We have Microsoft Office 2011 14.1.4 installed on a system. We are now pushing the snapshot 14.2.0 package. All the application permission in new package is set to root:wheel.

Installing the new package on existing version of office upgrades to 14.2.0 but the permission remains as root:admin even though the package app files are set to root:wheel.

Does the installer replaces the .app with permission or just appends the data inside .app?

Regards,
Karthikeyan
