Also we have a plug-in within the installer that used to be able to create folders with 777 permission in Application Support but it no longer works- are these new security measures imposed by recent OS versions?
I tested this with a flat package creating a folder in
/Library/Application Support/ with permissions 777. Upon installation,
the permissions are 777. (*)
Have you checked the permissions set in the payload/bom using Pacifist?
* if the folder already existed with different permissions, it would
require the Overwrite directory permission options to overwrite the
existing ones.
