full-duplex operation

I have ibook(G3/300 MHz) with macos x version 10.1.2.

I really want to know how to force duplex full configuration on macos x
and x server.

Do you have any idea of this ?

I tried command like this on terminal,

ifconfig en0 mediaopt full-duplex

But It seem to be not working.

I need help and I need to do as soon as possible.

Thanks
