Autopush in BSD?

Hello all,
In STREAMS environments like OT, there's the nice autopush mechanism for
making sure a module is always in a stack when it gets plumbed. Is there
anything in BSD/OS X that is "autopushy" in nature? I've got code that
attaches our interface filter modules fine and dandy when our KEXT loads,
but in a dynamic world, that isn't going to help as dial up connections come
and go. Looking at the MoreSCF and SCF functions seems to indicate that
notifications for interface changes are available, but I was wondering if
something's already been written, or am I reinventing the wheel?
Thanks
P.S. Feel free to use autopushy in your daily conversations :)
