Last I looked at this, the PPP architecture was developed so that you
could write a "ppp driver" that would transport ppp data. Since your
ethernet driver already does ATM encapsulation, you'd just need to write
one of those "ppp driver" modules that would tranport the data,
unmodified, to your network driver.

Can anyone confirm this?
