If you ever find out, please let me know! I asked DTS a question on this
subject and they weren't helpful. Since OS X is Unix I was hoping that
lpd/lpr would be a workable solution, but lpd on OS X doesn't seem to
want to serve any host on the network except the local one. I believe
this may be a problem with NetInfo in that it doesn't look at hosts.lpd
or hosts.equiv. But Apple do not officially support this stuff, because
it comes under Darwin.
However, DTS *do* support OS X Server which apparently has some way of
doing what we want to do. On the other hand I found it difficult to get
DTS to give up this information, and I have had to (temporarily) admit
defeat.
BTW Apple have recently licensed the CUPS system. I haven't had the time
to find out how relevant this is or when this technology will be
introduced in OS X.
