Hello,
I am pretty novice to Mac environment.
Said that, all the docs on the web regarding the
different versions of OpenTransport for different
Mac OS sounds too daunting.
My Requirements:
1. Very simple HTTP based communication from a client with Mac OS 7.x to
10.1
I have following questions regarding OpenTransport:
1. Does OpenTransport comes into picture only when I have to write down
the nitty-dritty details at the TCP/IP level?
2. If I am dealing at the HTTP level, do I have to bother about different
versions of OpenTransport on different versions of Mac OSes.
3. Can I maintain a single code-base for different Mac OSes
My ideal objective is to write a single code-base for the above mentioned
HTTP based communication that would work for all the versions
of Mac OS 7.x thru 10.1.
Does anyone have some information /pointers?
Thanks in advance.
Mahe
