OK, whatabout removing these features from Internet Config then..

We could create a new API and a control panel called "Email Account Config".

Would that solve the problem ?
Unless it's totally scriptable, supports every possible account setup option
in every email application that runs on all levels of Mac OS X...then no, it
will just create a new version of the old problem. Mozilla will still ignore
it, so it's useless there. How many options do you want to program to the
UI? I'll list them all for you.

To me there is. I do *not* provide software that doesn't work. I *WILL

Then I would suggest writing your own installers. Apple's is crap, rigid,
inflexible, and *stupid*...(It can't search a hard drive for a bloody
file!), Mindvision's is too stupid to ignore AFS/NFS mounts, Stuffit's is
annoyinng to work with. None of them are scriptable. At least applescripts
give me some control over the process, especially for remote installs.

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill
in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively
saved animals were released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from
onlookers. A minute later, in full view, they were both eaten by a killer
whale.
