Rendezvous hacking

  • Subject: Rendezvous hacking

Hi all,
I'm using Rendezvous (CFNetService) to check the existance of certain service on the network. I want to make sure that CFNetServiceBrowser checking for network services can not be blocked by user intervention. In other words, can the user block the browsing process by disabling rendezvous services through a UNIX command (to Darwin) for example or by changing any setting on the system and still not affect the network communications?
any hints would be appreciated.
