Okay, i checked it out, i was my internet firewall, but now, the

should i not be able to open a port no matter what the firewalling

No. The firewall should be able to restrict traffic no matter what the
user application thinks.
Now, i will have to ask the users that have the firewall running, to
shut it don, or add a port that may remain open.
I think not many users are wilig to do that. because it's ''techy
computer stuff''
Don't go trying to automatically bypass users' firewalls. They exist
for a
reason, and users or admins have likely enabled them for a reason.
Hmm, you're right, it was probably just my frustration of being so
stupid having looked into it for four hours
and never thought of my firewall preference.
Thanks for the help you all!
