My code was broken since I am getting a declaration syntax error in
socket.h with socklen_t after Panther was installed. It never
happened before on Jaguar - so there is my question: is this a known
issue and what could be done to work around as cleanly as possible? I
am using Metrowerks 8.3.
I believe that this is the same problem as is being discussed under
the "sockets in Powerplant?" thread. Take a look at that thread in
the archives.

I don't think so - the "sockets in Powerplant?" thread I found in list
archives by mid-October was about porting Winsocks to OT. First of all,
I am not doing OT but BSD sockets. Next of all, my project compiles on
Jaguar but not on Panther. Last of all, I found out socket.h on Jaguar
and Panther were different - and that's even why my project doesn't
compile on Panther. A last element - that same code still compiles on
both Jaguar and Panther with gcc. The problem is with CodeWarrior 8.3
on Panther.
