True. That OT glue code was written by some Windows guy 5 years ago and
never touched since then.

When running in the classic environment, the app still works. So there is
an OT layer with the old behaviour running on X...
... which doesn't help me. Back to tcpdump - right now I can exchange a
few packets more before it hangs again.
