Programmatically Renewing DHCP

I am part of a team writing a wireless network driver. When we connect to the
WAP, we don't seem to get a DHCP address from our server. Is this a bug? We
need to follow the apple standard for renewing the DHCP address in the Network
preference pane. Our clients seem not to like this procedure. Is there a
way to programmatically release and renew our DHCP address after we have
authenticated with the WAP? I saw Quinn's code to release the address, but I
can't find anything to renew the address.
