AppleTalk replacement...

In asking about a Carbon version of OTVirtualServer, what I'm really looking
for is any source code that shows how to get and send chunks of data.
AppleTalk made that simple: PGetRequest, PSendResponse, PSendRequest. I
need to upgrade both the client and server side of this application and
OTVirtualServer is the only source code I've been able to find that
demonstrates a non-AppleTalk client and server. What I'm looking for seems
like it should be really simple: server waits for a request then sends a
response, client sends a request and gets a response. It really feels like
I'd be reinventing to wheel to start hacking on this from scratch. Besides,
debugging all the network timing issues that seem to existing in OS X
doesn't look like a lot of fun.
I'm certainly willing to resort to bribery to anyone who can help. It'll
have to be on the honor system but if anyone can point me to existing source
that I can make use of, at minimum I'll send any pair shoes you want from
either www.tennis-warehouse.com or www.skatewarehouse.com. If this is more
complicated than I'm assuming, I can get out the checkbook. It must be able
to link with CW8 Carbon project.
Thanks,
Drew
