Hi Kent.

If you could provide it that would be good. Having done a Google myself, I can only find a single reference to a crash, which only states what the person involved found. It does not include any reference to what the problem actually was. For all I know the bug might have been in his/her code. Unless there is more info out there, there's nothing to suggest factually that PP has a problem on OS9.

Thanks,

Andy.

Hi Kent.

That's news to me. I run my own app on a multiprocessor G4 and have never
had a problem in development/testing. Can you provide a reference to an
article from Apple or some such - you make a 'statement' without any
'proof'.

Yes, I could ... or you could google for it yourself. Look for LInterruptSafeList.

If this is the case, what should one use to produce something that runs on
both OS9 and OSX? [Using C++ or C.]

Not possible. Use PowerPlants networking classes on OS 9 and use sockets on OS X.

If what you say is really true, I would also hope that at some point
Metrowerks update their PowerPlant networking classes to use a 'better api'.

That will not happen.

Kent
