Another trick that's recently become useful is to use Google to search the
list archives. Open a Safari window and type this in the search field:
site:lists.apple.com macnetworkprog udp broadcasts
Oh, and one more request: Make up an informative and specific title related
to the issue. Do not use generic subjects like "Question" or, worse, "A few
questions" or "Connection difficulties" or "Advice wanted". Imagine someone
is searching the archive a year from now trying to find an answer to the
same question you have. Make the subject of your post and its responses
obviously the right place to go for the answer. Something like "OTBind
returning -3212, kEACCESErr" or "Which app owns an open listening socket?"

Thanks, Quinn, for Sharing
