No one asked for my opinion, but I spent a bunch of time on one project once ripping out libcurl and CURLHandle code and replacing it with NSURLConnection/CFNetwork and friends. libcurl was untold headaches. It may have made sense on 10.1, back when NSURLHandle was all we had, but it absolutely does not make sense now.


OS9-type technologies were around for 20 years. We might see the OSX stuff go out of fashion in fifteen years, then.
