I'm very interested in your opinion about libcurl. I haven't used

No one asked for my opinion, but I spent a bunch of time on one
project once ripping out libcurl and CURLHandle code and replacing it
with NSURLConnection/CFNetwork and friends. libcurl was untold
headaches. It may have made sense on 10.1, back when NSURLHandle was
all we had, but it absolutely does not make sense now.
OS9-type technologies were around for 20 years. We might see the OSX
stuff go out of fashion in fifteen years, then.
