Replicate a boot CD network configuration

  • Subject: Replicate a boot CD network configuration

Greetings,

I've been a Apple fan for years and have worked in hardware development. I am a newbie when it comes to programming, though I have enjoyed learning a bit about AppleScript and using the Automator, and getting some hands on experience with UNIX.

I am working on a project that involves a cardbus 802.11g card. I have observed that after booting from an OS 10.4 CD, and then restarting, my prototype card works. What I am trying to determine, is what is the network config of the 10.4 CD that allows the 802.11g card to be recognized on restart and to function properly?

Is there a way I can easily duplicate the settings of the CD so I can debug what is going on with the software? Or, is there a way I can configure the target laptop so that on a restart, my card would work?

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
