  • Thread-topic: TAP integration

Good day all,
I am thankful for this mailing list as a resource.
I am wondering if anyone knows if Apple has any plans to integrate the
tap virtual ethernet interface into their OS. It is especially useful with
OpenVPN. Speaking of which, does anyone know if Apple has any plans to
integrate OpenVPN as an option number 3 for tunneling on Mac OS X Server,
alongside L2TP and PPTP? Someday I'd like to see "tap0" show up in System
Preferences -> Network. Perhaps with that level of integration Bonjour
would also work nicely over it.
    Thanks for reading.

- Shao
