query regarding waitevent and modwatch

  • Subject: query regarding waitevent and modwatch

hi,

Can anybody please explain the waitevent / modwatch api's behavior in
the following scenario.

Step 1: create two sockets say 'fd1' and 'fd2'
Step 2: Do a non blocking connect on 'fd1'
Step 3: Now, duplicate 'fd1' over 'fd2' i.e., dup2(fd1,fd2)

My doubt is, will fd2 have a "CONNECT" event associated with it after
having been duped over by a connected
socket? If not, is there a way to set the event programmatically ?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Puthali
