I've implemented this in IPNetRouterX (both Ethernet bridging and NAT
routing aka sharing).

I mention this only to emphasize that it would be a big win for some of
my customers to have more control over AirPort.  Apple's Internet
Sharing suffers from a number of limitations which I've been able to
address, but setting up a software base stations is not fully supported
using the AirPort API.
