I would like to know whether there is any difference
in network architecture between Tiger 10.4.11 and Leopard?.
Previously I developed a Network Kernel Extension [ Particularly a
Virtual Network Driver for Link aggregation] module for Tiger. It was
working extremely good in Tiger. Now I changed My Operating System to
Leopard. In Leopard OS also the same Network Kernel Extension that
was used in Tiger OS was installed and run.But the performance is
very very Low.In Tiger we got the bandwidth 230MB/Sec but the
Leopard we got only 20MB/Sec.We also used this Network Kernel
Extension in Leopard after compiled with the Leopard OS.But the
Performance is same [Only 20MB/Sec].Can you lease tell me is there
any change in the MBUF structure in Leopard?. Where I focus to
resolve this problem?.
Does the KEXT manipulate the mbuf structure directly, e.g. does it
modify any flag and/or fields in it without going thru the KPI(s)?
Perhaps you can elaborate more on what the KEXT does?
