A C API would be perfect, but unless something new's been added that I haven't seen, the SC framework doesn't provide any facilities for the creation or removal of VPN services/configurations.

At the risk of seeming as though I enjoy talking to myself, I submit the following addendum/correction for the archives:

VPN service configurations, including username and password info, HAVE been moved to the SC store in Leopard. Haven't tried it yet, but based on what I'm seeing it should now be fairly simple to mimic Apple's dictionaries and conjure up VPN services all the live long day without having to worry about munging any additional "byhost" Internet Connect preferences files.

It would still be nice if it were scriptable so I didn't have to write 40 lines of dictionary population code, but such is life. _______________________________________________
