  • Thread-topic: Bonjour IPv6

Hi everybody,

I am quite new to Bonjour.

I am enabling Bonjour IPv4 and IPv6 on a Printer Firmware so that Mac OS X can understand and communicate with Printer.

I am not clear with following points.

  1. Is it required (or Mandatory) to have two different Bonjour Service Name’s for IPv4 & IPv6?

  1. what I have to do to see IPv6 Bonjour on Mac Side, I have 10.3 and 10.5 ???, I checked many things, like enabled debug menu in Safari, then also checked Bonjour Bowser etc…but not able to configure Bonjour for IPv6.

Though I have read draft-cheshire-dnsext-multicastdns.txt but still I am confused with it.

I am using ONLY mDNS feature of mDNSResponder-107.6.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,

Vivek
