semi-off topic, I think:

Can anyone point me at sample code (or an open-source library) that implements an HTTP server, preferably but not necessarily using BSD sockets? I'm hoping to build a simplified HTTP server that can be embedded in other applications for status monitoring, remote configuration, etc., similar to how many printers and routers do it.

TIA
