It's me who should be thanking you for your substantial contributions
to the QuickTime list -- I'm a lurker over there but sure got a lot of
good tips from you.
Can I just generate the encoded string for the attachment and
include it in the "body="?
I don't think you can specify an attachment with the built-in GURL
handler -- you'd have to create such a handler in your app and parse
out the attachments yourself.
If you can use an OSAX, then try XMail (open source). If not, then
rolling your own SMTP is isn't too long if you can limit it to generic
activities. I did one about for the 10.2 era and it still works but
I'm not sure if I will have to update it at some point for increasing
security restrictions.
