If the app is just using wifi, why doesn't he just get an iPod touch?

This is an Apple mailing list.
Even discussions about the official SDK are not permitted here, as
the NDA is still in place
I would be surprised if someone on this list gave you an answer
about iPhones that have been tampered with.
